Is the grass green? sky blue? blood red?

have you thought of a weird possibility?
We all agree that the color of blood is red.
But how do you know that I see and perceive the color 'red' as you do?
i may be actually seeing the color of blood as you perceive the color of sky 'blue'.
but what you call blue, i call red and vice versa.
isn't that a possibility impossible to verify?
or for that matter, each one of us see the sky in different colors... but all agree that, that color is blue?

if this is true, we all blindly concur that the color of sky is blue, grass is green and blood is red, even if each of us sees a different color.

how do we actually tell each other that we all see the 'same color' (say blue) when we refer to sky?

I guess this is a concept of a mind that we develop over time. A child, to start with, doesn't have a concept of the mind. It thinks everything it knows, others(adults) know, and everything it doesn't know, others don't know. However, over time observing adults, child realizes that adults know something that it doesn't know. This is start of a concept of my mind and other peoples' mind for an individual. Continuing this process, as a adult we have a very refined view of the minds. Seems far-fetched ?

Not everyone sees same color.
For eg, how about colorblind person? I am sure they cannot distinguish lot of colors. They definitely do not see blue as "blue" :)
My colorblind uncle wanted buy scooter of chocolate color but ended up buying light blue color.
But I am sure he still sees blue as chocolate color(which is his favourite) :)

This topic is very interesting, because it makes one think.

I guess we all live on planet earth, and we are introduced or exposed to more or less the same things in life in one or other form such as Grass, Sky, and Blood.

However we use language (english) to effectively communicate & describe things around us so that its easier for everyone to understand.

But the question we have is that whether what is Green ? Is green really Green? Is Sky really blue? etc.. For which i can only say, we all have our own way of understanding the reality and the understanding varies from person to person. Now who has seen the reality? This may cause speculation & confusion, unless someone proves Grass is something else and Grass is not green but "new colour", which could not be part of VIBGYOR, but a new colour which could be a big discovery and would also pose a question mark for Science!

I guess we should wait and see in this blog if someone has seen something new i.e. Grass is not green,Sky is not blue, and blood is not red but something else!

and needless to say I am not referring to colour blind people.

Thanks
